Maintaining a healthy and sustainable environment is important to us and we recognise that the day to day operation of our business can have an impact.
In order to achieve our vision and deliver our mission and values within the bounds of our policies, Promtek Limited operates a risk-based Integrated Management System (IMS), which is managed by our team leaders. We will achieve compliance in the following areas:
Business Risks and Opportunities
We will identify, monitor and comply with relevant environmental legislation and other requirements such as approved codes of practice. We will also assess the environmental impact of current and future operations.
Housekeeping
We will maintain a clean, healthy working environment.
Leadership and Participation
We will communicate our environmental aims and objectives to all staff and interested parties. We expect our staff to take a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating environmental impact from our activities, and assist our customers and suppliers to reduce their environmental impact as well.
Planning
All staff and subcontractors will routinely assess and record risk to the environment and any controls they have implemented to satisfactorily reduce or eliminate environmental hazards, before conducting any business activity on behalf of Promtek.
Support
We will raise awareness in staff and ensure that they have access to relevant information, instruction, training, supervision and support to identify environmental impact when carrying out their activities.
Operation
We will ensure that all operational activities are regularly reviewed to identify opportunities to develop sustainable products and services, and reduce pollution, emissions and waste streams.
Performance Evaluation
We will set high environmental standards and regularly measure and report our performance against them.
Improvement
We are committed to continually improving our environmental performance at the highest level in our business.
